Ana-Carlota Faussurier Describes @RazorbackWBB Italy TripThe Daily Call recently caught up with redshirt freshman forward Ana-Carlota Faussurier, who spent part of her summer as a member of Spain’s U20 team that won gold this year.&

A native of Yecla, Spain, Faussurier displayed some of her Spanish-speaking flair to describe the trip that the Arkansas women’s basketball team recently took to Italy.

Having studied English for a year now, Faussurier also answered some questions in English:

What have you learned in the past year in America?I learned how to live here, because it’s different. I learned to speak English.
What do you do in your spare time?Normally, I’ll watch a movie or something in English to learn English. But, I don’t have much free time (laughter).
What is a big difference for you between life in Spain and life in America?First of all the schedule, like eating dinner or breakfast, because in Spain normally you eat breakfast at 9 a.m., lunch at 2 p.m. and dinner at 9 p.m. Here, its (lunch and dinner) at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. The first day I was here and the coach said, "We’ll go to lunch," I looked down at my watch and said, "What? Right now?"
What do you think of American food?I like this food. It’s very different from Spain’s. Macaroni and cheese is good. They don’t have it there (in Spain).
What is your favorite Spanish food?Eggs and potatoes, like an omelet.

Be sure to check back with The Daily Call on Monday for the final installment with Faussurier in which she shares her goals for the upcoming Razorback women’s basketball season.
