No. 11 #Gymbacks score 196.200 to win season opener The @RazorbackGYM squad started off the season with a tri-meet victory over Western Michigan and Bridgeport. Senior Katherine Grable led the way scoring a 39.475 to claim her 37th event title of her career. for the full recap click here.
@RazorbackTF Makes Strong Start to 2014 Season Men’s and women’s track & field made an impressive season debut Friday at the Arkansas Invitational Friday at Randal Tyson Track Center. Both teams finished first, with three women recording the best NCAA times of 2014. Freshmen Omar McLeod and Regine Williams made an impressive start to their Razorback career, earning their first-ever event titles. Flowers and Swanson Earn Awards A pair of Razorbacks have been selected as the inaugural winners of two awards by the Little Rock Touchdown Club, it was announced yesterday. Defensive end Trey Flowers will receive the Dan Hampton Award for the most outstanding college defensive lineman in the state of Arkansas, and Rimington Trophy finalist Travis Swanson is the first recipient of the Willie Roaf Award for the most outstanding collegiate offensive lineman in Arkansas. The award winners were chosen by members of the state’s sports media and the award namesakes. To read more about the awards, click here.
Coach Segrest With RazorVision Defensive line and specialists coach Rory Segrest sat down with Chuck Barrett for Razorback fans to get to know the newest assistant coach. Coach Segrest talked about his first 24 hours in Fayetteville and the process of being hired by head coach Bret Bielema. Coach Segrest also spoke about the benefits of coaching in the NFL, including being on the coaching staff for the 2009 Pro Bowl, how he started his coaching career as a student assistant coach at Alabama under Gene Stallings and what message he will deliver to his student-athletes. Dave Van Horn Update @RazorbackBSB head coach Dave Van Horn met with RazorVision to provide a preseason update. Coach Van Horn spoke about the team returning from winter break this weekend and the importance of improving during the five weeks away from campus. He also went through the practice schedule from now until the first full practice Jan. 24 and what he expects to see from the Razorbacks this season.
