Lopez, Tubert Earn ExemptionsUniversity of Arkansas junior-to-be Gabriela Lopez and recent graduate Emily Tubert will be joining the professionals as sponsorship exemptions at the 2014 Walmart NW Arkansas Championships presented by P&G at Pinnacle Country Club June 23-29.

“The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship is a special week for not only our community, but for our women’s golf team,” Arkansas head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor said. “Most of our players have the dream of playing on the LPGA Tour and there is no greater measuring tool than to play against the best players in the world right here at one of our home facilities. The team competes all year to have an opportunity to tee it up during this week and this tournament gives them great feedback on where their games stand. Mike (Adams, Assistant Coach) and I are really excited about this year’s event and the potential to have five current or former Razorbacks in the field. The support our players get during this week is amazing and we could not have asked for a better way to showcase our home and program through this outlet. We have a special place here in NW Arkansas and to have the LPGA tour here in our backyard is a great piece that allows us to continue to elevate our program to even greater heights.”
