Ticketmaster statement on duplicate tickets

FAYETTEVILLE – Ticketmaster released a statement for fans who purchased Allstate Sugar Bowl Tickets through the official bowl web site and Ticketmaster outlets may be receiving duplicate tickets. A number of duplicate Sugar Bowl tickets were inadvertently sent by Ticketmaster to some purchasers, who received two tickets to the same seat.
The duplicate ticket distribution does not affect any tickets allocated and purchased through the Razorback Ticket office. Those Ticketmaster purchasers affected have been contacted and asked to destroy the duplicate tickets. They have also been informed that ticket barcodes will be scanned at all entry points for the game. If a duplicate ticket is scanned and admitted prior to presentation of the original ticket, the original ticket will be denied entry.Although Ticketmaster believes that most of the duplicate tickets will be destroyed or otherwise accounted for prior to the game, it is possible that some of the affected purchasers may negotiate the duplicate tickets instead of destroying them. Fans who plan on purchasing Allstate Sugar Bowl tickets from a third-party or on-line at an unofficial Sugar Bowl ticket site, should consult the duplicate ticket listing to make sure they aren’t purchasing a duplicate and invalid ticket. A complete listing of seats for which duplicate tickets were issued through Ticketmaster is available at the links above. Fans who have questions, may contact Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000.Anyone who received tickets through the Razorback ticket office is NOT affected by the duplicate ticket distribution. Tickets orders fulfilled through the University of Arkansas are being shipped via priority mail. Allstate Sugar Bowl ticket orders from the Razorback Ticket office began shipping on Thursday and will be completed by Monday.
