FAYETTEVILLE,Ark. – University of Arkansas Assistant Athletic Trainer Eric Linson was featured in the September issue of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) News. Linson, along with three other athletic trainers from Fort Smith, Ark., were recognized for their development of a public relations plan for National Athletic Training Month 2001.
With the lack of trainers on staff at secondary schools in the state, Linson, along with Candace Harper, Chad Floyd and Mike Hilton, created a campaign that used National Athletic Training Month as a springboard to discuss the importance of certified athletic trainers (ATC).
“I think it is very nice to be recognized by the peers in your profession,” Linson said. “It is always an honor to be recognized as the first recipient of any award, but especially one of national attention.
