Tubert earns All-America honor

FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas junior Emily Tubert earned National Golf Coaches Association All-America honors the organization announced today. The Burbank, Calif., native is an honorable mention selection, and this year’s award is the third in her three-year career for Tubert. “Emily continues to be a leader for our Razorback team and I’m excited that she has earned her third All-America honor,” Arkansas head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor said. “She has been one of our statistical leaders all three seasons and her steady play is something we count on each week.” Tubert paced the Razorbacks for the third consecutive season averaging 73.41 strokes per round in 34 rounds as a junior. She picked up two individual wins bringing her career total to five. This season, Tubert’s score versus par ranks the junior 37th in the nation and 10th in the region. Her adjusted score ranks 32nd in the country and 11th in the region. She had six top 10 finishes leading the Razorbacks to eight top 10 places in 13 events this season. Arkansas finished the year ranked eighth in the country after tying for 13th at the NCAA Championship last week. For her career, Tubert has competed in 33 events, playing 101 rounds with a 72.68 stroke average and 0.88 mark against par. Her lowest round is a 63, scored in Las Vegas and she has had 13 rounds in the 60s.
