FAYETTEVILLE— The unbeaten Arkansas softball team hosts Tulsa Saturday afternoon for the first doubleheader of the fall season, Oct. 2, beginning at 1 p.m.
Arkansas defeated Crowder College 26-0 on Wednesday evening at Bogle Park. The team had 26 hits on the Lady ‘Riders. Freshman Macy Burr doubled down the right field line and came back around the line up with a triple and scored off a sacrificed fly by junior Tori Mort. Senior Leslie Dixon went 3-for-3 with two doubles and put two runs on the board.
With 21 runs on the board, sophomore Hope McLemore stepped into the circle in the seventh for two complete innings and struck out four of her six batters faced.
Last season against the Golden Hurricanes, the Hogs split the doubleheader in the fall and also in the spring. The first game of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. After this weekend, the Razorbacks meet Seminole State on Oct. 6. For more information, log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
