Two Preseason Exhibitions On Tap For Men's Basketball

Updated Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas basketball head coach Mike Anderson has announced the addition of two exhibition games, as the Razorbacks will welcome Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Delta State University to Bud Walton Arena in preseason action.

Arkansas will tip-off against Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Thursday, Nov. 5, before hosting Delta State University on Tuesday, Nov. 10 inside Bud Walton Arena. Both exhibitions are slated to tip-off at 7 p.m.

The two programs are NCAA Division II members with Southwestern Oklahoma competing in the Great American Conference and Delta State in the Gulf South Conference.

The Bulldogs of SWOSU posted a 16-13 record last season and advanced to the semifinals of the Great American Conference Tournament before falling to eventual champion Arkansas Tech. The Statesmen of DSU won four of their final six regular season games and posted an overall record of 15-14, but dropped a 75-63 decision to West Alabama in the opening round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament.

In four years at the helm at Arkansas, Coach Anderson has posted a 67-8 (.893) record inside Bud Walton Arena, making it one of the most difficult places for opponents to play and giving the Razorbacks the ultimate home court advantage. Arkansas is coming off a 27-9 record last season that marked the sixth-most wins in program history as the Razorbacks made its 30th NCAA Tournament appearance.
