Tyson Invitational – Meet Information

Friday and Saturday – February 15-16, 2008

**Only ¼ (7mm) pyramid or Christmas Tree spikes are allowed in the Randal Tyson Track Center. NO PINS! Athletes caught wearing pin spikes or spikes that are too large may be disqualified from competition.**

Admission: All spectators will be charged $5 for entry for Friday’s morning and afternoon sessions and Saturday’s events at the front doors of the Tyson Track Center. Tickets for Friday night’s professional events are $10 for general admission and $20 for reserved seating (on the finish line). Tickets for the evening portion are available at the door or by calling 1-800-766-4626. Children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult get in free.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday (one hour before the first event) for spectators. Re-entry is available for all ticket holders who retain their tickets to come and go from the Tyson Track Center.

All spectators must enter through the front doors of the Tyson Track Center. Athletes and coaches wearing wristbands must enter through the Southeast doors ONLY. All other doors will be locked and there will be NO RE-ENTRY through any other doors.

The Arkansas pass gate list will be located in the Northwest corner of the Tyson Track Center. All University of Arkansas students get in free to Friday’s morning and afternoon session and all day Saturday with a valid student ID at the front doors of the Tyson Track. UA students must purchase tickets for Friday night’s events.

Awards: Awards will be given to the top three collegiate finishers in each event. Awards will be given out in the Northwest corner of the track starting at 12 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Entry fee: Entry fee will be $25 per athlete and $25 per relay. Teams: $25 per athlete not to exceed $450.00 per gender.

Media: Please direct all media to the front doors of the Tyson Track Center. Most should already have credentials. If they are looking for credentials, they can be picked up at the ticket window. We will also have some visiting SIDs at the meet. If an SID has a credential, they can enter through the front doors or with their team through the Southeast doors.

Packet Pick-up: Packet pick-up will be Thursday, February 14th at the Tyson Track Center from 5-8 p.m. or starting at 9-11 a.m. on Friday, February 15th. Packets can be picked up in the Northwest corner of the Tyson Track Center on the track level. Packets WILL NOT be in the press box.

Wristbands must be worn by coaches and athletes at all times and will serve as entry passes to the all sections of the Tyson Invitational. Bib numbers should be worn on front of jersey.

Practice:

The Randal Tyson Track Center will be open for practice 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 14th and 8 a.m. until one hour before the start the start of competition on Friday, February 15th. Walker pavilion will be open for warm up Friday and Saturday.

Showers:

Showers are available at the Randal Tyson Track Center. Towels and lockers are not furnished. You are responsible for your own valuables.

Warm-Ups:

All warm-ups are to be done at the Walker Pavilion or outside. The ‘green-room’ warm-up facility at the Tyson Track Center will only be available to athletes 20 minutes prior to their event and may only be used for strides, starts, and build-ups.

There will be NO JOGGING allowed in the green room. The oval around the competitor track may not be used for warm-ups during the meet. Shuttles will be running from Walker Pavilion to the Tyson Track Center.
