UA Announces Razorback Baseball Radio Network Affiliates; KWBF in Little Rock to Carry All Games

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— The University of Arkansas Athletic Department is pleased to announce its affiliate lineup for the 2006 Razorback Baseball Radio Network (RBRN). The 25 station network is one of the largest college baseball radio networks in the country.

“We are very excited about our network this year,” said Matt Shanklin, General Manager of RBRN. “The network continues to grow in not only affiliates, but coverage area and games broadcast. This continued growth is very important to the continued growth of the Razorback Baseball program overall.”

One major change in the network is the addition of KWBF 101.1 FM in Little Rock. KWBF will carry all regular season games in addition to post-season action. In the past, only SEC games aired in the capital city.

Most affiliates will carry from 25-40 games, including most SEC contests. Fans will need to check their local listings for games broadcast on their local affiliates.

KFAY 1030 AM will enter its 16th season as the flagship station of the Razorback Baseball Radio Network. They will carry 52 games with sister station KYNG1590 AM picking up three (3) mid-week games with early start times. In addition to the KFAY broadcasts, KKEG 92.1 FM in Fayetteville will carry eight (8) Friday night SEC games beginning with the March 31st contest against Tennessee.

In Benton county, KURM 790 AM will carry all games, except Sundays and when there is a local high school conflict. Sister station KURM 100.3 FM will carry all games except Sundays and when there is a conflict with a St. Louis Cardinals broadcast.

All radio broadcasts can also be heard on the internet at www.hogwired.com through the RazorZone. The RazorZone is a subscription service of www.hogwired.com. Fans can join for $9.95 per month or $99.95 annually. RazorZone will offer not only the audio broadcasts of the games, but live video of most home games, home game replays, weekly practice reports, post-game press conference with Coach Van Horn and players, player features and monthly Swatter’s Club meetings.
