University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor Announces 2007 Class

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Nine former University of Arkansas student-athletes, including Arkansas’ career leading rusher on the gridiron, the school’s career saves leader on the diamond and the architect of the most memorable shot in Razorback hardwood history, make up the 2007 class of inductees into the UA Sports Hall of Honor.

Football leads the way with Ben Cowins, Jim Barnes, Jackie Brasuell, Randy Stewart and the late Dean Garrett on the distinguished list. They are joined by basketball great Scotty Thurman, Lady’Back track All-American Megan Flowers, golf All-American Brenden Pappas and baseball All-American Phillip Stidham.

Honorees were elected to the UA Sports Hall of Honor by a vote of former letterwinners in conjunction with the “A” Club.

The official induction is Friday, Aug. 31, at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center adjacent to the Embassy Suites in Rogers. For ticket information, call the Razorback Foundation at 479-443-9000.
