FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior Chris Walker scored 24 points while Dionisio Gomez and Charles Tatum pitched in for 19 points a piece as the Razorback White squad downed the Razorback Red squad 85-78 at Bud Walton Arena. Walker hit 10 of 17 from the field and collected nine rebounds in the winning effort. Freshman Alonzo Lane paced the white squad with 21 points while junior Brandon Davis contributed 19 points. Sophomore Sergerio Gipson had 16 points. “I just told our guys to go out and have some fun tonight,” Arkansas head coach Nolan Richardson said. “Walker played well, but I was really impressed with Dionisio and Gipson. Charles Tatum also looked good on the defensive end.” The biggest scare of the night came late in the first half when Gomez sprained an ankle and had to leave the game. The 6-8 sophomore returned in the second half however and should be available for practice immediately. “We are looking forward to playing someone else for a change,” Richardson said. “We need to get some work done in the next 10 days or so. I think this gave our guys a good feel for what we need to work on.” Arkansas kicks off its exhibition season on Nov. 12 when the Hogs host SKA Ural, a team from Russia. The Hogs open the regular season on Nov. 22 against Texas-Arlington.
