Wednesday football practice report

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas football team returned to the practice field Wednesday afternoon for a two-hour workout. Following practice, UA defensive coordinator Willy Robinson spoke with the media.

On Wednesday’s practice:

"We had a great day today. We had a lot of fun out there. It was really fast pace and our execution was really good, very little angst."

On Auburn’s offense:

"It’s a mirror image of the Tulsa offense we faced last year. Coach Malzahn and the offensive coaches have done a great job with that offense. He has great skill guys. You had to tip your hat to what Tulsa did with their guys last year on offense. Auburn’s offensive line is a really good offensive line. All the misdirection he has and the great tailbacks, they put the ball in a lot of people’s hands."

On Auburn’s running game:

"Their run offense is exceptional. They do a nice job in all their schemes."

On Auburn offensive lineman Lee Ziemba:

"He’s what a senior offensive lineman should be. He’s a leader. He’s not going to see anything he hasn’t seen before. If he does, it won’t take him very long to adjust. I think he does a great job of protecting the backside of the quarterback."

On DeQuinta Jones and Zach Stadther:

"DeQuinta Jones is really playing well and he’s only going to continue to grow. He’s doing a nice job against the run and he’s doing well against the passing game. When Zach Stadther gets in there, he holds point. There is nothing flashy about what he does but he does his job."

On Elton Ford:

"He did a nice job last week against Texas A&M. He doesn’t want to be off the field and I admire that."
