FAYETTEVILLE — On the heels of its longest road trip of the season, the University of Arkansas softball team begins a four-game home stand Friday with game one of a weekend series against No. 20/17 Texas A&M. First pitch of the Southeastern Conference matchup is set for 6 p.m. (CT) at Bogle Park. The Razorbacks enter the series with a 23-11 overall record and a 2-4 mark in conference games.During the season, UA students and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission to all Arkansas softball games with valid ID. General admission tickets are $4 while tickets for groups of 10 or more are $2 at the ticket window. Season tickets for the 2014 campaign are available for $45 in addition to an opportunity for fans to rent a suite at Bogle Park. In addition to in-game updates on Twitter, live stats will be available at’s game between Arkansas and Texas A&M (23-9, 4-5 SEC) will be the 10th meeting in the all-time series and the first played in Fayetteville. The previous nine matchups have either been played in College Station or at a neutral site. In last season’s first meeting as SEC opponents, the Aggies swept a three-game series on their home field. Ranked as high as No. 17 in the country, Texas A&M will be the Razorbacks’ fifth ranked opponent of the season.Through the first 34 games, Amanda Geile has a .363 batting average to lead a quartet of Razorbacks hitting .350 or higher. Devon Wallace has a team-high nine home runs and leads all SEC players with 37 walks. Kasey Fagan has driven in a team-high 31 runs and is tied with Wallace for the team lead with 37 runs scored. Grace Moll continues to pace the pitching staff with eight wins and 50 strikeouts. Behind the plate, Jayme Gee leads all SEC catchers with 11 runners thrown out.Collectively, Arkansas is ranked among the top three SEC teams in batting average (.334), on-base percentage (.448), runs scored (268), hits (297), RBI (241), triples (11), total bases (478), walks (168) and sacrifice flies (10). The Razorbacks entered the week as the second-highest scoring team in the country with 8.13 runs per game.
