FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team continues its series of opponent previews as it counts down to tipoff of the 2013-14 season. Next up on the nonconference schedule for the Razorbacks is the team’s first tournament of the season, the New Mexico Tournament, held in Albuquerque, N.M.
Opponent: Binghamton (Possible Second Round Matchup)

Location: The Pit, Albuquerque, N.M.
Series Results: This marks just the first meeting between Binghamton and Arkansas. In the fall of 2001, Binghamton athletics formally entered the NCAA Division I and also became a member of the America East Conference.
Last Season: Binghamton finished 6-24 overall last season, going 5-11 in conference play and finishing eighth in the America East Conference standings. In five seasons, head coach Nicole Scholl and the Bearcats have&gone&63-90 (.411).
Foe to Know: Sherae Swinson, 6-0, Forward, Junior. Swinson returns as the leading scorer for Binghamton after averaging 9.9 points per game last season. The Odenton, Md., native, was also second on the team averaging 4.8 rebounds per game in 30 games.
New One Up: Binghamton will look to replace Andrea Holmes this season, who&was one of the most&successful players in program history for the Bearcats. Last season, Holmes became the first player in&program history to be named America East All-Conference four straight years.&Now graduated, Binghamton looks for someone to step into the role this season that&she had filled for a period of time.&
