Women's Golf has teed off

BRYAN, Texas — The 11th-ranked University of Arkansas women’s golf team has teed off for second round action at the 2011 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship at Traditions Golf Course in Bryan, Texas.

Redshirt freshman Emma Lavy was first followed by sophomore Victoria Vela, senior Corinna Rees, freshman Emily Tubert and finally senior Emily Tubert. Vela was even through the first four holes and Lavy was one-under early.

Live scoring results can be viewed at http://www.ncaa.com/content/womens-di-team-leaderboard. Remember fans, there are two flights of play so when Arkansas finishes there will still be at least 12 teams still playing so results and positions will not be final until around 7 p.m. tonight.

Conditions today are even more windy than yesterday. It’s cloudy,overcast but a bit cooler than yesterday. The winds are blowing, then gusting and there is a 60% chance of rain late tonight into tomarrow.
