Women's tennis hosts Lady Tigers on Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Looking to rebound from a loss, the 17th-ranked University of Arkansas Razorback women’s tennis team will be back in action at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday at 1 p.m. hosting the Memphis Lady Tigers.

Arkansas (4-2) is coming off a loss on Wednesday to No. 69 SMU, 5-2, but are continuing to rise to an elite level.“We need to take a step forward and get better each match,” said Arkansas head coach Michael Hegarty. “We showed sign of that against SMU, and we need to continue to take steps forward against Memphis this weekend.”

The Razorbacks boast a 12-2 career mark against the Tigers (5-6), while sweeping all nine matches in their last meeting in 1996.

This will be Memphis’ second-consecutive match against as Southeastern Conference opponent after losing to No. 53 Ole Miss on Thursday.
